Description

Valencia , the third largest city in Spain , is just 70 kilometers from the city of Castellon , capital city of the province in which you are enjoying your stay . In a comfortable trip from your place of accommodation we will accompany you to discover this beautiful city and to enjoy the City of Arts and Science. After breakfast, our staff will pick you up at your hotel (or agreed departure point) to start the journey to the city of Valencia, travelling along the coast area of the province and bypassing cities such as Castellón, Vila-real, Onda, Vall Duixo and Almenara in the province of Castellon.

Once in the province of Valencia, we bypass Sagunto to access Valencia city. We then arrive to Valencia. After bypassing the Bioparc, one of the largest animal parks in Europe, we will arrive at the City of Art and Science. Vertebrated by the old riverbed of the Rio Turia, there is a row of spectacular buildings designed by Calatrava: Museum of Science Prince Felipe, Oceanographic, and L'Hemisfèric. You will have plenty of time to enjoy these amazing buildings.

Our guide will accompany you through the most interesting points of the city centre: the modernist North Station, the City Hall Square, where the City Hall and the Post Office are located – famous because it’s where the mascletàs are fired and where the biggest falla is burned during their internationally well-known festivities – El Miguelete; the Bell Tower of the Cathedral of Valencia and the Cathedral itself, that has, among other important things, what they say it is the cup of the Last Supper.

After, the guide will continue to show you the most interesting places of Valencia. Important to notice that Valencia was, during centuries, the most important port of the Mediterranean, which gave it a cosmopolitan character and an inherited legacy that you will be able to see during our tour. We will end our tour, walking by the Puerta de Serranos, one of the medieval entrances of the city that still exists. Our bus will be waiting for us there. Around 18.30h we will start our return trip to your lodging or shuttle point.
