Morella is considered one of the most beautiful Spanish towns. Historically it’s a very important town in Spain, build on a mountain and surrounded by a fortress of 2 kilometers. We will go directly to Morella, and we will make a technical stop to rest and stretch the legs. Depending on the schedule, we will go, during our way there or on our way back, to the amazing region of Vallibona and the Natural Park of Tinença of Benifassà.Once in Morella, we will access the interior of the city by the San Miguel Port, which will allow us to have a privileged tour in its main streets.
During this tour, the Guide will explain the importance of each building in the Morella History, until we reach Santa Maria Church and visit it. This one is a gothic construction that unites in the same front of building the Apostles and the Virgins Port. You will have a marvelous view of the inside. In June 28th of 1700, the Pope Innocent XII gave this church the privilege to be part of the St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome. In the end of our tour you will have some free time to visit the Castle and one of the many superb viewpoints spread all over the city. Afterwards we will lunch at a typical Morella food restaurant.
In the end you can enjoy some free time to explore the shopping area and purchase one or more of their many handicraft products. (Typical blankets, souvenirs, cold meat, sweets and honey from this region, among others).
By the end of the day we will return.
